My Dining Room

This is our small dining area and some of the chnages we have made lately. There is always something to do and with all the little ones, we can not get it all done within the time frame we would like. I would love to do something different with the windows, but we need the privacy.
Painting the table and chairs is on my to do list.
But with summer vaca coming up not sure what I will get done!

I'm Dreaming of a white kitchen

 Ever since we painted the cabinets white a few years ago, I found it easier to be in the kitchen.It was brighter and cleaner, but little did I know how hard it would be to keep it clean with kids and pets.

I love all the white, just cleaning is not really my thing!

 The house had been shabby chic romantic style for such a long time that when I decided to change it, I wasn't sure what I wanted! But thanks to pinterest and the bloggy world

 I think I have found just what I want! I love the farmhouse look, but I also like farmhouse.
So I am still trying to decide what to keep and what not to keep.

I am forever decorating. In fact I think I have some sort of decorating illness. It seems I have to create or change something almost daily!
Wonder how many people do this? Just me? Maybe not....
However many different ways my house might look, I love it and it is my home!
Home sweet home!

Spring time in the den

 Spring time once again and although it has been a rather chilly winter, spring is in the air.
Birds are chirping, bunnies are fluttering by,

Mornings are starting earlier

 And flowers are beginning to bloom.
Spring is such a wonderful time for fresh new starts.
Don't you just love this time of year?

Too Scared Too Paint!!!

 I am planing on getting a lot of work done on the house really soon!! We have a really really small kitchen, as I have stated before. When we bought the house 9 years ago, it was a decent size for our family, but since then we have grown in many ways!! (Add in a few more kids)...and so it is that we NEED a much bigger kitchen, but in order to expand it we would lose a bedroom. Not in the budget this year, as we need a new roof, but a possibilty for next year!! Until then I will love it for what it is....at least I have a kitchen (home) of my own!! Much to be thankful for itself!!

 So as I walk around I see things that need to be painted or cleaned. One of which- our old living room furniture. This coffee table was handed down to me from my grandma and I just don't have the guts to paint it!! Same with my dining room set. An antique set from my grandmothers friend, I am just too scared to paint it white!!
Oh well... for now I will just love it and live with it!!

Pottery Barn knock off wreath and pinecone ornament

I love Pottery Barn so much!! I could easily spend a years worth of paychecks there in just one visit!

So while browsing the catalog, I noticed thier wreaths.

Wow!! How easy would it be to make one myself!!

I already had the wreath and found the ornaments for only 1.85 at Goodwill !!

Here is a pic of the one I made and a pic of the pinecone ornament I made as well.

That was basically free!!

 Here is the Pottery Barn version!! Oh so pretty!!!!

 And here too is the Pottery Barn version of the beautiful wreath!! I just saved over 100.00 making these myself!! Win !! Win!!

Christmas Around Our Home

I love christmas time! I enjoy decorating my home, baking cookies, and doing all the fun activities with my kids.
I also love to look at all the wonderful pics of the beautiful homes I see on blogs!!
