What? No pink???

Our home decorated for the holiday season. My dining room Christmas tree decorated with sweet treats and handmade ornaments.
Then to change things up a bit, we painted over the pink kitchen! It looks clean and nice and I even decluttered somewhat to make it a little easier to clean in there.

The above pic is over the tops of the cabinets.

Here is my bay wondow all ready for christmas as well. The white valances look so sweet in there and when the morning suns shines thru- it brightens the kitchen so much!
There are so many projects we need to complete around the house and we are tackling them one at a time. When you start one project, it amazing how it opens your eyes to other things that need to be done! Step by step.. we'll get them done!

Sweet Christmas Tree

Another late night project...

Maddie is late one! She likes to stay awake late and sleep in. So while she is quietly watching her programs I have been hard at work!

I made cupcakes, lollipops and pink gingies and put them on my sweet treats tree.

I am trying to think of what to put on as the topper.

I am all done christmas shopping and I have been crafting special things for the childrens teachers.

I love all the projects I do around christmas, just wish I had a better crafting spot other than my dining room table.

The Snowmen on the shelf in the pic was given to us by my dear neighbors. They are so sweet! Each year they get the us all gifts and Madison especially loves the one they got the whole family!

Let it snow

Well maybe not real snow!!
Living down south, we don't see snow, but here is Maddie as happy as can be in front of our big blow up globe!!
We have some decorations outside and the kids always help take part in the decorating.
Here is Mikayla helping put up the lights around the kitchen window.
She is alot more brave then I!! I can't make it up the second step of the ladder without getting nervous!!

Tis the Season

To sart decorating for Christmas.
I have started putting some decorations up in my big window in the kitchen.
I think I may add more smaller village pieces and take away some tea party stuff.
Today I am going to put up my victorian tree in the dining room.
The family tree is up in the living room and the outside lights are a work in progress. Thats my husbands area. He is good at the outside decor and I hanndle the inside.
Each week we add a little more outside and eventually by christmas it is done!

Reflections....

This pic is so cute!!
It captures both myself and Maddie.
She loves to look at her reflection in the mirror and I am always getting pics
of her!
I have been super busy with the kids- sports, dance and scouts. Always
somewhere I need to be!
Although looking at this picture reminds me sometimes we
need to have fun and be a kid again!

God

To: YOU
Date: TODAY
From: GOD
Subject: YOURSELF
Reference: LIFE

This is God. Today I will be handling All of your problems for you. I do Not need your help. So, have a nice day.
I love you.

P.S. And, remember...
If life happens to deliver a situation to you that you cannot handle, do Not attempt to resolve it yourself! Kindly put it in the SFG TD (something for God to do) box. I will get to it in MY TIME. All situations will be resolved, but in My time, not yours.

Once the matter is placed into the box, do not hold onto it by worrying about it. Instead, focus on all the wonderful things that are present in your life now.

If you find yourself stuck in traffic, don't despair. There are people in this world for whom driving is an unheard of privilege.

Should you have a bad day at work; think of the man who has been out of work for years.

Should you despair over a relationship gone bad; think of the person who has never known what it's like to love and be loved in return.

Should you grieve the passing of another weekend; think of the woman in dire straits, working twelve hours a day, seven days a week to feed her children.

Should your car break down, leaving you miles away from assistance; think of the paraplegic who would love the opportunity to take that walk.

Should you notice a new gray hair in the mirror; think of the cancer patient in chemo who wishes she had hair to examine.

Should you find yourself at a loss and pondering what is life all about, asking what is my purpose? Be thankful. There are those who didn't live long enough to get the opportunity.

Should you find yourself the victim of other people's bitterness, ignorance, smallness or insecurities; remember, things could be worse. You could be one of them!

Should you decide to send this to a friend; Thank you. You may have touched their life in ways you will never know!
Now, you have a nice day.
God

God has seen you struggling,

God says it's over.

A blessing is coming your way.

I got this email from a dear friend and was very touched!
I justed wanted to take the time to praise God and thank him for all he has done
for me!

Stepping Out

Maybe I should have made these a few years ago?!?!?!?
I decorated these sweet baby shoes with inspiration from my sweet baby girl
who actually will be 3 in a few months.
I am thinking about making some sweet memorabilia from her own baby things.
I am starting to clean out many things around the house and we shall see what else I can come up with.

A day at the park

It is so nice to enjoy a day at the park every once in a while.
Summer is short this year and not alot to do at home, so we took the kids out for a picnic at the park last month in July. The heat isn't so bad under the shady pine trees.
The kids love to play outside and the exercise is so good for them!
Less than 2 weeks until school starts and I am so VERY excited!!!
They start a brand new high tech school only a mile away from home!
We look forward to great school year!

A Serious Crafter!

Mornings have been absolutely beautiful- so me and Maddie find ourselves outside
each day.
We began the activities with finger painting. Well I really thought she would have loved it, but not really!!
First thing she says to me, "Where's my brush?"
I replied, "We are fingerpainting!"
Ohhh.... so she tried it......
And it just wasn't for her!
So we got out the brushes!! Much better!!!
After painting we went for a short walk in the wagon.
After our short stroll we headed for the trampoline for singing and dancing!
We had alot of fun together this morning!!
Mothers Day was a nice quiet day. Megan was ill so we stood home and had a quiet day!
Mikayla made me a bag of gifts. I just love this card with the sponge!
Megan made this wonderful handpring card!! It was some of the sweetest gifts I recieved!!

One Magical Weekend

We spent the weekend at Disney!!!
The kids had such a wonderful time and the baby was in complete amazement over everything!!
We hopped on the tram from Pluto parking lot, to the ticket center. From there we got on the ferry boat across the beautiful waters to the Magic Kingdom!
Wow!!! The kids loved the castle!!!
They had a great day and yes it is a magical place!!!
Everything was going well until the tantrums kicked in when we wouldn't buy the little ones the things they wanted!!!
The lines were very fast- we were in and out in most rides!!
The Carosel of Progress we went right in- Maddie was sitting there with her mouth dropped staring!!!
From there we went to Buzz Lightyear.
We saw Mickey and Minnies house, Stitch, The Haunted Mansion, It's a Small World,
and the Michael took the kids to Tom Sawyer island while Michelle got ready to perform with her dance class.
We saw the Hall of Presidents and Swiss Family Robinson treehouse.
We got alot done!!!
We had a great weekend- had a nice hotel with indoor pool and nice family time!!!!

She ain't Heavy.......

Nothing like watching your little ones play in the sand or water at the beach!
For the baby it was the first time she got to frolic in the sand.
Even though we only live 10 minutes from the beach, our hectic lives just got in the way! One evening we took the kids out to enjoy the lovely waters.
My oldest and youngest shared a few special moments and this was one I caught on camera. These are times they will remember forever!!

Angel girl collage

I just love the image of this sweet angel girl.
Reminds me of my Maddie.
I made a collage which is available on my etsy shop and also made one for the girls room and as a cover to a scrapbook I am working on.
I wasn't feeling very creative but then I came across this and made the collage.
I also worked on a flower cone as well this morning.
I hung it by the computer.

I liked this instead....

Maybe I'll add a few more pink balls in there, but I like it this way a little better!!

Lattice cake stand new use

I had bought this cake stand for only 5.00 last summer and I just wasn't sure where to use it when I wasn't entertaining.
So this morning I tried a few ideas and this is what I came up with!!
What do you think?
I love tea pots and roses so I added it all together in the stand!
